Dr. Kafilat Taiwo Salvador-Oke is a researcher in medical microbiology with expertise spanning wet-lab microbiology, microbial genomics, and bioinformatics. She holds a PhD from the University of Pretoria, where her research focused on the molecular epidemiology of carbapenemase-producing Klebsiella pneumoniae in community settings. She previously served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Stellenbosch University, contributing to metagenomic surveillance and bioinformatics pipeline development. Her current research leverages next-generation sequencing (NGS) and high-performance computing (HPC) to track pathogens, the mobilome, virulence and resistance mechanisms across the One-Health landscapes.
